Membership Requirements (2024-2025)
- Member Information Form: fill it out here.
- Membership Packet: fill it out here. Read below for more information & tips before starting.
- Dues*: $20 per semester
** See below for additional requirements if you plan on competing for the team at the 2024 USHA Collegiate Nationals.
Collegiate Nationals Requirements (2025)
All of these requirements must be completed before the Collegiate Nationals in mid-February.
* Certain requirements will be reduced for members who join the team midway through the Nationals year (from one February to the next).
** If you feel you are unable to complete these requirements for any reason, please speak to one of the officers and they'll work something out. These requirements are not meant to deter you from being able to come to Nationals. In almost all cases, if you're already showing serious dedication to the team, the officers will be very understanding and accommodating.
- Tournaments (2)*: You must compete in at least one tournament at UT and at least one 4-wall tournament away from UT. See the tournament calendar for when these events take place. Speak to an officer to confirm which events are eligible to fulfill this requirement.
- Service Event (1): You must participate in at least one team-sponsored community service event.

Membership Packet Information
- "Membership Packets" are not really packets—they're online forms that you must fill out so Rec Sports recognizes you as a member of the team.
- The form should take 10-15 minutes to complete.
- You can access the form here.
- You will need a scan/photo of your health insurance card in order to complete it.
- If you do not have health insurance, please let one of the officers know before you submit the form.
- If you'd like to be listed as a driver for the team (for travel tournaments), you will also need a scan of your driver's license and car insurance card.
- If you have any difficulties, don't hesitate to contact one of the officers for help.
Membership Benefits
- Paid trip to the USHA Collegiate Nationals: the club covers the cost of plane tickets, hotel rooms, entry fees, and USHA memberships for all team members who attend. In order to compete in the tournament, you must complete all Membership Requirements (above), as well as all Collegiate Nationals Requirements (above).
- Free entry to all tournaments we host at UT
- Free entry and lodging for all team-sponsored away tournaments: the team will arrange lodging with local players when available (e.g., in Corpus Christi), and will otherwise cover the cost of a hotel/motel. This makes trips to tournaments much easier to personally afford for each player than in the past.
- Free entry to ANY other tournaments (with prior officer approval): if you are planning on going to any other tournaments, the team will cover the cost of your entry fee. Just make sure you clear it with an officer before you go to the tournament.
- Discounted gear (where available): e.g., group discounts on Owen gloves, eyeguards, subsidized team jerseys, etc.

GroupMe: All team members should be in the "UT Handball: Important" GroupMe. If you're not, let an officer know and they will add you. It's a great way to stay on top of important team information in real time. If you're interested, you can also be added to the "UT Handball: Social" GroupMe.
Facebook Group: Everyone should also be a part of the team's Facebook group. It isn't used nearly as often as the GroupMe, but occasionally things are shared here. It's a closed group that only includes team members.
Facebook Page: You also might as well like our Facebook page. This is what we share with the public—it's a good way to find team pictures, tournament links, etc. Feel free to invite your friends and family to like this page to keep up with the team.
Mailing List: You can join our mailing list by filling out the form on our Contact page. This is also information we share with the public. In most cases, you'll be hearing the same information directly from us in team-only emails, but it's still a good way for you to keep up with what's going on.
Twitter & Instagram: If you're interested, you can follow our team @UTHandball on Twitter and Instagram.
